Welcome to Westgate! A family friendly established community on Calgary's Westside nestled between Bow trail and 17th avenue on the East side of Sarcee so practically inner city! In Westgate you'll find a lot of bungalows on large lots making it a great neighbourhood to invest in. It's only a short walk to the C-train station giving you quick access to the core and with several main arteries surrounding it, it's easily accessible by car. They have an active community association that has an amazing outdoor rink in the winter and soccer fields and baseball diamonds for miles in the summer months. Schools are a plenty and when you're looking for a fun night out, simply walk over to the Regal Begal for a quick meal, to watch some hockey or listen to some live music. Westgate is great!
The best way to know if a community is right for you is simple, all you have to do is go there and get a feel for it. Find an open house and head over there on a Saturday afternoon and take a stroll, play in a local playground, go sledding or skating and bring the whole family, dogs too! Every neighbourhood offers something different and the best way to get a real feel for it is to go and see for yourself.
Good plumbers are hard to come by and great plumbers can be even harder but my experience with Aquality plumbing has been nothing but exceptional and I would recommend them to any of my clients. Operating in Calgary since 2004, owner David Horstein wanted to offer clients honest communication, value for money and quality service. This small business has grown and expanded to continue serving all Calgarians remaining true to its core values. Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in all 4 quadrants, call them any time for your plumbing and heating needs.
With Valentine's Day just around the corner I wanted to highlight one of my favourite restaurants in YYC, Cassis Bistro! It's located on 17th Avenue closer to Crowchild and offers some of the best French food you'll find in Calgary. Each meal is prepared to perfection and the modern setting makes it feel current and comfortable. The staff is knowledgable and can help you find the perfect pairing and most items can be adjusted for allergies. If you're looking for something a little off the beaten path, head here!
The weekend forecast is looking spectacular and there's no better way to spend a Sunday afternoon than outside basking in the sunshine while skating on a Olympic Plaza's refrigerated surface. They have a booth that rents skates and coffee shops nearby so strap on those rusty skates and join in on the outdoor fun while it doesn't hurt your face!
